Meet Our Staff

Pastor: Steve King

| |
| Steve came to Gentian in July of 2002. His heart is to see people receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to help them grow and mature in the faith, and to see them become fully devoted followers who lead others to Christ. Steve believes in the inerrancy of the Word of God and seeks to honor it by preaching it in its context. Steve received his B.A.B.S., and his Master of Arts from Luther Rice Seminary, Lithonia, Georgia. Steve has an intense love for his Lord, his family, and his church. |

Minister of Music and Education: Toby Gilliland
Toby's main emphasis is for Gentian to worship the living Lord in the sanctuary and in everyday life. He coordinates the choir program with many volunteers, and leads through his musical talents and abilities. He came to Gentian in November of 1998, and graduated with a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 2000. |

Student Minister:
James Douglas |
James is the newest member of the Gentian team. He, his wife Alison, and his daughter Adelle recently moved from New Orleans where James has been attending seminary at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. James' heart is for students to know what they believe, live that belief out in their daily lives, and be able to communicate that belief verbally. |
